for the first time in 23 yeras america has some colleges worthy of the sdg generation

I come from 4 generations of diaspora scots who have mainly lived and worked in asia or london until my daughter was born in the usa in 1997. I understand that there is a lot i will never begin to understand about the american education system but i have been exploring online opportunities all my working life as an MA in stsatistics corpus christ college Cambridge 1973. In 1999 i edited a triple issue of the journal of marketing management on 20th c failiures in marketing which i also presented to harvard faculty - theur response you may be right but what you are researching would not get funds in usa.

When my ftaher was spending a lot of the 19860s researching te rise of Japan he brought me back one of te first pocket caluclatirs- ever since gordeon moore published his promise that his allumni would multuply 100 fild more chip tech every decade from 1965 - one question has been what will be the use of the human stastitician once computers have trillion times more power to analyse- once a one diallr chip has more analytiuc capability than separte human brains. To numbers people this ought to be evidently a huge expoential opportunity or risk- the 2020s were always destined to be the most exciting tiems to be alive. The worst of time means we will irebersaibkly start teh ned of our species- the bets of times mens we will know all over teh world what the most urgent local chlenges are and map how to fix thise in time for mother nature tio decide that we reamain a species she wants to evole with

MY POLITICALLY AGNOSTIC VIEW OF VALUING AMERICA YOUTH
From my perspective 21st c american college students have suffered huge waste- until the last few monhts (effectively 2019-2020 is the first transformative year) they have been put in huge debt - and the smartest of them have either been employed b y the biggest least sustainable sectirs in the world or have played the startup game- which as we can see from the amzon review of where it put ist 2nd headquarters requires you to be based in one of 3 places to have a leaders chnace of being in network

It is from this situation that we aim to catalogue with optimism the emergnce in 2020 of a diferent colege netwrk - which will be pivotal to thise milennials who want to spend teor working lives noit just making money but saving our species from extinction. To be clear no conutry's studnts can di this on theiur own- the first thing tese new colege networks need to do is celebrate opportunities for theier stidnets toi twin with at least one other place - and more relevantly the top 20 ai 5g tech cities that are solving citywide chalenges - eg the greenest top 20 citeis are collaborating in a vision of making public transport so good that owning private vehicles becoems unnessary. Its essential that the top 20 sdg vities not only share solution for citiznens but talke responsibiulity to end poverty and other chalenges by rural and other peoples. There really only needs to be one open source curriculum of teh basics of how tech can help every child grow up to make the most of her life and to help every community to thrive out of diversity

Here then is a tour of us coleges/cities in usa where it may be possible to be an alumni of 21st c sustainability- as well as whgere these cities twin with
